Leyla R. Davoody, D.D.S., M.S.Ds
Orthodontist - Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Davoody completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland College Park, earning a Bachelor's degree in General Biology. Subsequently, she attained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Following her general dental training, she pursued specialization in Orthodontics at the University of Connecticut in Connecticut, where she also earned a Master's degree in Dental Science. For her Master's degree, Dr. Davoody conducted clinical research on accelerated tooth movement using the corticision technique.
Dr. Davoody is proficient in early interceptive and comprehensive orthodontics, temporary anchorage devices, Invisalign, accelerated orthodontic treatment, multidisciplinary, and adult orthodontics.
An active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and Maryland State Society of Orthodontics, Dr. Davoody is dedicated to staying current in her field.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Davoody enjoys travel, exploring diverse cultures, cooking, reading, and spending quality time with her family. Currently residing in Washington, DC, with her husband Kaveh, she is thrilled to be part of Smile Orthodontics and looks forward to meeting you and your family.

Dr. Sujeong Lee, D.M.D.
Orthodontist
Dr. Sujeong Lee grew up in the vibrant city of Seoul, South Korea, before moving to the U.S. to pursue her passion for science and healthcare. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Drexel University in Philadelphia, graduating magna cum laude.
She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While there, she was awarded the AADR Travel Award for her research on mast cells and received community health honors for founding an outreach program that provided mentorship, oral health education, and preventive care to the local Korean community.
Dr. Lee completed her general practice residency in the Bronx, NY at Lincoln Medical and Health Center, gaining valuable experience in pediatric dentistry, emergency care, and surgical orthodontics. She then pursued specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, earning both a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and a Master of Science in Dental Medicine.
Dr. Lee is passionate about creating confident, healthy smiles and believes that great orthodontic care starts with building trust, listening closely, and tailoring every treatment to each individual’s unique goals and lifestyle.
Outside of the office, Dr. Lee loves to stay both active and creative. She's currently training for her first HYROX race and enjoys skiing, figure skating, and spending time outdoors. She’s also a big fan of all things artsy from painting and crafting to exploring fashion as a form of self-expression. On weekends, you’ll often find her trying new restaurants with her husband or relaxing at home with her two beloved cats, Kimchi and Brie.

I've been in the orthodontic field since 1998. I enjoy riding motorcycles and taking walks with Gizmo.

My friends and patients call me Karebear. I've been the Treatment Coordinator at Smile Frederick since 2013, with 20 years of experience in the dental field. Outside of work, I enjoy family time, hiking, fishing, DIY projects, and exploring new technology.




I’ve been working in the dental field for over five years, and I am deeply passionate about my role. Seeing people’s smiles brings me immense joy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, dancing, and spending quality time with friends and family. ❤️



Rob Mansman, D.D.S., M.S.D.
Owner / Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Robert Mansman, D.D.S., M.S.D, owner of Pediatric Dental Center of Frederick and Smile Frederick Orthodontics, originally from the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY, moved to Richmond, VA at 15. Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Biology from VCU, then obtained a DDS degree, Cum Laude, from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. Army service included an AEGD residency at Fort Meade, MD, and a pediatrics residency at VCU, where he became chief resident and earned a masters degree. Served as Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in DC, specializing in treating children with special needs and being part of the cleft lip and palate team. Passionate about helping this young population.
